“From the Community, For the Community”

Munich has a thriving SAP Community Network – who knew?!

SAP Consultants, Developers, Architects and Project Managers meet regularly in their free time to share their knowledge, develop new skills, and network in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. A wellspring of non-commercial groups are active here in our lovely international hometown. We may “fly under the radar” most of the time, but we’re always looking for ways to further develop ourselves and help each other along the way.

For the third year in a row, we’re proud to organize our own annual community-based event, SAP Inside Track Munich 2015, or fondly known as the “SITMUC”. Our motto “from the Community, for the Community” has guided us throughout the organisation of this event. Although interest in the SITMUC has grown dramatically since its inception in 2013, the original organizers are still at the helm – Damir Majer, Martin Steinberg and Gregor Wolf – and their original motivation is clearly visible. Despite growing sponsorships and double the participants this year, maintaining the “community character” of the SITMUC has remained a top priority!

Once again the SITMUC be hosted in the congenial co-working space of the “Impact HUB” in Munich. This year’s participants will be treated to an entire Saturday morning of informative and often entertaining presentations from community members and Mentors from SAP. After a sponsored lunch, with time for chatting and getting to know each other better, we’ll move on to a new feature of the afternoon: an open “marketplace” of breakout sessions, where everyone is welcome to walk around, visit the various stands, stop and interact as you wish, or move on according to your interests. We think this type of atmosphere will allow for some very interesting networking and sharing of know-how and will help to spread new impulses within our community.

And here’s the best part: in keeping with our motto - “from the Community, for the Community” – the entire SITMUC event remains free of charge for all participants. Clearly, this would not be possible without the generous sponsorship of many individuals and firms within our community network. On behalf of everyone involved, we want to THANK YOU for your support, and for making our SITMUC the unique event that it is - simply not to be missed!

Our traditional pre-event offering is an official SAP CodeJam on the Friday afternoon before the SITMUC on Saturday. This year the topic is all about developing new technical skills in the open source arena: “SAPUI5 and Web IDE”. Due to limited space and high interest, the registration for the CodeJam and the SITMUC were coordinated, to allow SITMUC participants (especially those travelling from other cities) the first shot at a ticket. Needless to say, both events were booked out within a couple of days, and we’re maintaining an official waiting list for each. As with the SITMUC itself, the CodeJam is free of charge for all participants.

To those registered to attend either event, we want to say a hearty welcome in advance, and if you have any questions or comments in advance of the event, please feel free to contact us - we’re here to help. Looking forward to seeing you here in lovely Munich on Friday, October 9th, for the SAP CodeJam and/or Saturday, October 10th, for the SITMUC 2015!

Cheers,

Your SITMUC Orga Team:
